March 19, 2021: In an era where the gullible members of society make heroes and demi-gods out of political and media frauds like “Dr” Anthony Fauci, it is refreshing to see credible authorities like Senator Rand Paul call out and expose self-serving hacks like Fauci. For anyone who has not seen the exchange between Rand Paul and Anthony Fauci during the March 18 Senate Health Hearing, treat yourself to watching someone finally grill Fauci on his “flip-flopping” propaganda and obnoxious Covid “theater” on display over the past year (a simple search will give you access to the video coverage of their exchange during yesterday’s March 18 Senate Hearing). The conclusion is that a rat like Fauci was finally cornered and exposed by someone who has authentic and current medical and health credentials (Rand Paul) and the integrity and courage to shed much needed light on Fauci, the WHO, and egregiously politicized public health policy.
Senator Paul continued to challenge Fauci (Director of NIAID) and his tendency to engage in political "theater" by asking Americans to continue wearing masks after they have been vaccinated for Covid-19. According to Paul, "The science of vaccines is that when you get an infection, or you get the vaccination you develop immunity and yet (he) keeps moving the goalposts and saying well you might get this variant from South Africa." (Newsmax - Sandy Fitzgerald; March 19, 2021) Fauci, who is Biden's chief medical adviser and has led the NIAID for 40 years in what appears to be a permanent appointment, continues to wear masks despite being Covid vaccinated – all this to bolster his argument for indefinite mask-wearing by everyone, vaccinated or not. Rand Paul struck a nerved with Fauci when he posed these two questions, “What studies do you have that people that have had the vaccine or have had the infection are spreading the infection?" If we are not spreading the infection, isn’t it just theater?" Fauci, in what has become a pattern of displaying a hot temper whenever challenged, snapped back at Paul by saying, "when you talk about reinfection and you don't keep in the concept of variants, that's an entirely different ballgame. That’s a good reason for a mask." Of course, Fauci failed to back any science or data to support this vague response.
When asked to elaborate on his Senate Hearing concerns today, Rand Paul said, "My point to him [Fauci] is, show us the evidence. Show us the scientific evidence that people who have already had Covid or people that have already gotten the vaccine are getting it again.” Rand Paul went on to note that the science of vaccines comes from the basis of when one gets an infection or a vaccination, that person develops immunity. In Paul’s words,
"Yet he [Fauci] is moving the goal post and saying well, you might get this variant from South Africa. My point to him is to show us the evidence. Show us the scientific evidence that people who have already had Covid or people who have already had the vaccine are getting it again. If they're getting it in large numbers and getting ill and going to the hospital and dying, we should know that, but it's not true. It's his conjecture." (Newsmax - Sandy Fitzgerald; March 19, 2021)
Under that reasoning, Paul cleverly added, that this is like saying "well, we might get the Spanish flu, so maybe we should wear the mask until the Spanish flu comes back. It's a ridiculous notion not based on science, and what he is doing is pure theater and it goes against the science of vaccines." Paul emphatically pointed out that once you get Covid-19 you can not get it again. Rand Paul concluded by saying, “He [Fauci] is wearing a mask because it's one of his noble lies to convince everybody to wear masks, but it's not true. If you've been vaccinated or have had the infection, you don't need to wear a mask.”
For those of us seeking leadership and a firm counterbalance against Covid fascism and weak political representation, the strength coming from leaders like Rand Paul (and others like Ron DeSantis, Kristi Noem, Jim Jordan, and few others) are a breath of fresh air – please pardon the pun.
