October 1, 2021: After 5 years as Premier of New South Wales (NSW), karma has finally cornered Gladys Berejiklian. As this is breaking and fluid news, we will need to learn more about the efforts of the Independent Commission Against Corruption (ICAC). Of course, fellow corrupt Australian politicians (along with Australian mainstream media) were quick to throw cover and complement Berejiklian for her years of conspicuous leadership. Topping the list off scoundrel supporting (and defending) Berejiklian were fellow political weasels PM Scott Morrison, Victoria Premier Daniel Andrews, and NSW Minister of Health Brad Hazzard.
Not surprisingly, other dirty Australian politicians have openly admitted their close working relationship and "admiration" of Berejiklian. If the ICAC concludes an "egregious breach in public trust" by Berejiklian, one must ask how much did other Australian politicians know and how implicated were they in the pervasive conflicts of interest and dirty dealings of Berejiklian. Surely she was not acting alone.
Early indications are that the ICAC investigation is running deep and wide with a long line of conspicuous Australian politicians in the crosshairs of Australia's ICAC. Extremely American will continue to follow this developing story closely in the coming days and weeks.
